Master Gardener Flower & Garden Show in Sevier County

The Sevier County Area Master Gardeners Association will host its 7th annual Flower and Garden Show and Sale on Saturday, April 21 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. at the Sevier County Fairgrounds, 754 Old  Knoxville Highway in Sevierville.

This  is the main fund-raiser for the non-profit Master Gardeners.  They undertake and help with community service projects such as: 4-H scholarships, food ministries, community gardens and tomato seed planting for Sevier County School kindergartens.

Local nurseries, landscaping specialists and suppliers of gardening essentials will be among the many exhibitors and organizations which will participate in the day-long event.  Ornamental plants, herbs, vegetables, fruits, berries and gardening equipment will be for sale. Speakers for the Show will offer presentations on “Urban Forestry”, “Butterflies”, “Lavender”, and other interesting topics for home gardeners.  The Master Gardeners will answer your gardening questions at the Show on everything from improving clay soils to identifying helpful – or harmful –  plants and insects.

There will be an auction at 1:00 pm.  Children are welcome to their very own activities. A refreshment stand will be provided by the 4-H Club.

Admission to the Flower and Garden Show and Sale is $3.00 for adults or $2.00 with a non-perishable food item; children under 12  years old are free.
