Breath of Life Ministries, of Morristown, will not have a food giveaway for the month of June. Everyone is welcome to all church events. Pastor is Jennifer Pressley. The church is located at 4185 East Andrew Johnson Highway in front of the Barton Springs Food City in Morristown.
The Church of God of the Union Assembly in Morristown will host a Backpack Giveaway on Saturday, July 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church Fellowship Hall.
Each backpack will include items needed for school students for the new year. There will be 250 backpacks distributed on a first-come, firstserved basis. Everyone welcome. Pastors are Paul Pratt and Kenneth Norton. The church is located at 4154 Chapman Street in Morristown.
Citizens Baptist Church/ Fresh Word Ministries, of Russellville, will host a Fish Fry on Saturday, June 13 at 11:30 a.m.
Pastor is Apostle Julia Mills. The church is located at 5757 North Third Street in Russellville. Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, of Morristown, will celebrate its 97th Church Anniversary on Sunday, June 14 at 4 p.m.
Special guest speaker is Superintendent Phillip Hamilton, along with the congregation of Children of God Church of God in Christ in Knoxville.

The Joyful Hearts Ministry of First United Methodist Church of Morristown will celebrate “America 250” at their annual picnic at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 18, at the church.
“America 250,” or the United States Semi quincentennial, is the official celebration marking the 250th anniversary of the country’s founding, and the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Mike Beck, a local historian who is one of the founders of the General Longstreet Civil War Museum in Russellville, will present a program, “The Formation of Hamblen County: Land Grant Days to the 1870s.”
In addition to spending many volunteer hours at the museum, Mike has enjoyed participating in several Civil War reenactments. He has a passion for Civil War history and collecting.
Located in the historic Nenney House, the Longstreet Museum preserves the home that served as Confederate General James Longstreet’s winter headquarters during the Civil War.
Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided at the picnic. Cost of the meal is $10. Registration for the program will close at noon Monday, June 15.

An adult ministry group of First United Methodist Church, Joyful Hearts host education programs at the church about history and science. The stated purpose of Joyful Hearts is “to nurture the lives of adults fifty years and older as they join together in fellowship, and as they reach out to serve the needs of others in the church and in the community at large.”
Each month, Joyful Hearts
choose a mission to serve. Their June mission will be raising funds to assist with the purchase of food for Camp in the Community, which First United Methodist Church will be sponsoring July 20-24.
Camp in the Community is a ministry of Holston Conference Camp and Retreat Ministries. It is a week-long day camp program for children who could not otherwise afford to attend summer camp.
First United Methodist Church will be feeding participants two meals and a snack each day. It is anticipated that $1,000 will be needed to cover the costs of these meals.

Revival will begin at Greene’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Morristown starting Sunday, June 21 at 7 p.m. nightly. Evangelists are Terry Greene and Lee Wayne Grubb. The Master’s Touch Southern Gospel singers will sing at Tuesday and Saturday night’s services. Other singers will perform nightly. Everyone Welcome.

Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church in Mooresburg will host “The Master’s Touch” Southern Gospel group at 11 a.m., Sunday, June 14. Sunday School begins at 10 a.m. Everyone welcome.
New Start Baptist Church, of Morristown, will have a Clothing and Food Giveaway on the First and Third Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m. to noon. The congregation will also give away Bibles for all who are in need. The giveaway will continue on these dates as long as supplies last.

New Start Baptist Church, of Morristown, will host the Church’s 25th Homecoming with services on Sunday, June 21. If you don’t have a home church, the congregation invites you to visit to celebrate 25 years of service to The Lord Jesus Christ.
Those who have been members and have not come back for a while are also invited to celebrate.
Sunday School is at 10 a.m. with Morning Worship at 11 a.m., followed by a lunch after services.

The Rogersville Men’s Prayer Breakfast will be held Thursday, June 18 at the Price Public Community Center. Hardee’s sausage or butter biscuits and coffee will be available at 6 a.m. with the program beginning at 6:30 a.m.
