RING IN HOLIDAY CHEER WITH THE KNOXVILLE SYMPHONY
-Knoxville Symphony Orchestra Presents 26th Annual Clayton Holiday Concerts-
October 15, 2012 (Knoxville, Tennessee) – Lucas Richman conducts the 26th annual Clayton Holiday Concerts which feature the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, the Knoxville Choral Society, Sound Company Children’s Choir and Go! Contemporary Dance Works, Inc.. The whole family will delight in this holiday tradition featuring beloved songs, carols and heartwarming hits from “White Christmas,” “Miracle on 34th Street” and more in “A Tribute to Broadway.”
“For my tenth anniversary of holiday concerts with the KSO,” says Music Director, Lucas Richman, “I thought it might be fun to incorporate one of my favorite musical genres: the Broadway musical. Some of the greatest Christmas songs were written for the Broadway stage so, for this season’s Clayton Holiday Concerts, we’ll be highlighting many of those hummable favorites.”
Be sure to catch this spectacular event and even a special visit from Santa Claus himself in one of four performances on Friday, December 14 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday December 15 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Sunday December 16 at 3:00 p.m..
Tickets range from $14 to $45 with special discounts available for students and for groups of 10 or more.

The KSO has contributed to the cultural life in East Tennessee since 1935. Under the leadership of Lucas Richman, the orchestra consists of more than 80 professional musicians and performs more than 200 programs throughout East Tennessee each season. Performing in traditional venues such as the Tennessee Theatre, Bijou Theatre and the Civic Auditorium, and in non-traditional places like hospitals, school classrooms, nursing homes, city parks and churches, the KSO reaches more than 200,000 people throughout the region each year.
