Sarah M (Sarie Jane) Hopkins Smith
Sarah M (Sarie Jane) Hopkins Smith age 89 passed away peacefully at home on June 9, 2026, with her daughters by her side. She was saved at the age of 16 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and was a Charter Member of Sartain Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

James William “Jim” Shaver
James William “Jim” Shaver was born October 21, 1942, in Jefferson City, TN, to the late Clyde L. V. “Tater” Shaver and Mary Margaret (Ryan) Shaver, the oldest of four children.
James “Jim” Quackenbush
James “Jim” Quackenbush, 81 of Whitesburg, passed away on June 10, 2026 at his residence.

David A. Darnell
David A. Darnell, age 76, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at his residence. He was a member of Holt’s Baptist Church, retired from the State of Tennessee after thirty years, and farmed his entire life. David was a loving and devoted father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Louise “Totsy” Darnell; parents, Robert and Louise Darnell; sisters, Linda Jones and Bobbie Howerton; and brother, Charles Darnell. He is survived by his children, Brian (Missy) Darnell, Jason (Pam) Darnell, Tammy (Shannon) Hester, and Brook Darnell; grandchildren, Madison Darnell, Bentley Darnell, Kristy (Blake) Foote, Alex Short, Kailee Darnell, Brady Darnell, Mashayla (Tristan) Harris, Chazton Hester, and Laylah Hester; great-grandchildren, Ben Foote, Gabe Foote, and Scarlett Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
Bernard Franklin Bull
Bernard Franklin Bull was born August 1, 1941, the ninth son to Rufus and Delma Bull. He lived in Etowah, TN until attending Carson-Newman University where he met and married Barbara Brown. He taught at Carson-Newman University from 1972 to 2007. He and Barbara were, from 1973 to 1979, the first residential caretakers of Glenmore Mansion, upon it becoming a museum. After a valiant struggle with cancer, Bernard had his homegoing June 4, 2026.
