New Elementary BETA Club at All Saints leads donation drive for MATS
The newly formed Elementary BETA Club at All Saints’ Episcopal School wasted no time getting involved in the community.
The club, which launched this spring with nine fourth and fifth grade students, chose to support MATS as its first service project by organizing a schoolwide donation drive for the homeless shelter.
Club members worked together to plan and carry out the project from start to finish. Students divided needed supplies among grade levels to help organize collections and encourage participation throughout the school.
Handmade signs were placed in hallways as reminders for students and families to bring donations.
The group also created a display for the school’s Spring Fling event featuring information about the history of MATS, upcoming fundraisers, and a list of ongoing shelter needs. Club members rotated shifts at the table during the event, collecting donations and speaking with attendees about the project.
Elementary BETA Club sponsor Jenny Greene said the project gave students an opportunity to learn leadership, teamwork, and service while helping people in the local community.
The club’s officers are President Renfro Cameron, Vice President Kyliegh Minor, Secretary Maddie McMahon, and Reporter Aiden Ringley.
Other club members include Morgan McMahon, Cannon Miller, Emma Mancini, Wilder Waddell, and Brayden Lewis.
Though the club is new, its members have already shown a strong commitment to service and community involvement, turning a simple donation drive into a lesson in compassion and leadership for the entire school.
