At the age of 64, Kevin LaVerne Betcke passed away on May 17, 2026.

He leaves behind a lifetime of memories and the love of family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Born in Louisiana, Kevin eventually made Tennessee his home, where he built a life centered around family, hard work, and friendship. He spent more than 20 years with Norris Clayton Homes and was known for his talent in building and creating things with his hands, his love of cars, and his willingness to help those around him.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Betcke and Helen “Mary” Betcke, and his sisters, Valerie Betcke Camardelle and Hope Betcke.

He is survived and cherished by his life partner, Jessie Trent; his brother, Thad Betcke; his daughters, Julie Betcke, Deanna Holman, and Lela Criswell; his stepdaughter, Holly Fields; his beloved grandchildren, Drake, Amber, Eli, Thomas, Lucas, Terra, Dmitri, McKenzie, Adalee, and Andy; his nieces, Jenny and Angie (Chad); and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In keeping with his wishes, Kevin’s life will be celebrated privately.
