Margie Gail Lakins, 67, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 22, 2026.

Born September 7, 1958 in Morristown, she was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church for many years and accepted Jesus into her heart as a young girl. She loved her family and was most proud of her daughter and grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John A. Lakins Sr. and Janie Kate Noe Lakins.; Infant brother, Ellis Ray Lakins; brothers, William Henry (Buster) Lakins and John Alex (Johnny) Lakins Jr.; sister, Sarah Jane Fox; and brother-in-law, Harold Lynn Fox.

Survivors include daughter, Ashley Hill; son-inlaw, Brad Hill; and grandsons, Brody and Kael Hill all of Johnson City, TN; brother, Larry (Sandy) Lakins; sisters-in-law, Peggy Lakins and Bobbie Lynn Lakins all of Morristown; and a host of cherished nephews, nieces and cousins.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 26, 2026 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Kenny Porter officiating.

Family and friends will gather In Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery at 9:45 a.m. for a graveside service at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Kael Hill.
