Stephanie Darlene Taylor Carter, age 61 of White Pine, passed away on May 25, 2026. She was the sweetest, most wonderful person, wife, mother, daughter, sister and daughter-in-law, she has this world but never our hearts. Stephanie was a loving person with a huge heart and would do anything for anybody. She loved her family and took care of them though she wasn’t healthy, she was the heart of the family. She loved to cook which was her favorite thing to do, and if she cooked for you, you knew you were loved, she also loved making Tshirts and watching her UT sports. Stephanie loved her family, friends and sorority sisters. She was married for 36 years to the love of her life Barry and had a very special mother/son relationship with her baby boy Reece, she will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Stephanie was the light of Barry’s life, they met by accident when a mutual friend couldn’t go riding around. They became friends, then love and then marriage. Stephanie made life better for all who knew her.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her father, Buford Taylor, sister, Serita Campbell, grandparents, Raymond “RB” Greene, Geneva Gaddy and William and Clara Taylor along with father-in-law Jerry Carter. She is survived by her loving husband, Barry Carter, son, Reece Carter, mother, Doris Taylor, sister, Shannon Taylor, nephews, Ryan Taylor and Rhett Campbell, great-niece, Sophie Campbell, mother-in-law, Cora Ball, brother-in-law, Dwayne Campbell and a host of extended family and friends, that became family.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, between the hours of 5:00 – 7:00pm at the home of her mother at 3017 Christopher Drive, White Pine, TN 37890.
