Susan Leedy Luker
Susan Leedy Luker, age 73, passed away on the 10th day of May 2026, at her home in Bean Station.
Susan leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories. She is survived by her daughter Kate Suzanne Larson (Arthur) and son Jared Bryan Corum (Arlene), nephew and niece Taver Leedy (Amy) and Sarah Leedy. Susan was preceded in death by her husband Gregg Luker, father and mother Xan and Virginia Leedy, and brother Hal Leedy.
Susan started her life living and working on the family farm and showing cattle throughout the Southeast before earning her degree from the University of Tennessee with a major in accounting. After college, Susan spent much of her career supporting her local community while working at Walter State Community College and later Douglas-Cherokee Economic Authority, Inc. (DCEA) from which she retired as Executive Director in 2016. In the middle, Susan also enjoyed all the families she got to work with when she started and ran her own daycare for a time while she was supporting her family’s needs. Since her retirement, Susan has enjoyed sitting on ‘her hill’ looking over the family farm and a lifetime of memories. Susan carried herself through life as a loving, strong, independent woman with a sharp wit and keen mind that will be greatly missed by friends and family, alike.
Susan requested no services be held at this time with a future remembrance planned for the spread of her ashes. In lieu of flowers, Susan wished any donations in her memory to be directed in the name of Harrell Cemetery under the care of Terry Acuff and can be mailed along with any cards or remembrances to the Family of Susan Luker, 2650 Lakeshore Dr; Bean Station, TN 37708.
