Due to the large number of applications currently on file and extended wait times for assistance, Tennessee Valley Housing Services will temporarily stop accepting new applications for these programs effective Thursday, July 2.

According to Housing Choice Voucher Director Christy McMurray, this action allows staff to continue processing existing applicants and maintain efficient program administration.

Applications submitted before the deadline will remain active and continue through the normal review process.

McMurray said that the waiting lists will remain closed until further notice. Any future reopening announcements will be posted on TVHS’ website and social media pages.
