Morristown Utilities hosts monthly board meeting

The Morristown Utilities Board of Commissioners held its monthly meeting this week, covering routine business items including financial reports, infrastructure updates and project approvals.

During the meeting, officials announced Brandon Stubblefield as the utility’s new general manager. Board members noted that Morristown Utilities has had only three other general managers throughout its 125-year history.

Commissioners also reviewed financial reports for March 2026 and approved several ongoing utility projects, including switch replacements and transformer-related upgrades aimed at maintaining system reliability and service efficiency.

Jordan Partin provided an update regarding restoration work following a recent fire on Morningside Drive, announcing that utility services in the area have been completed and restored.

Additional discussion focused on regular operational matters and continued infrastructure planning.
