Getting ready for prom at East High

T

Last week of February and we’ve done so well so far! Jostens delivered rings this week in the East High cafeteria, so if you didn’t receive your ring contact Jostens or a Jostens worker in the office.

Prom is coming up! Tickets go on sale 3/2 for Early Bird sales.

The prices start at $50 for couples and $30 for singles. After 3/20 tickets go up to $60 for couples and $40 for singles.Prom starts 4/25, Students may purchase tickets from Ms. Carol Rouse in room 107 during 2nd period, STORM, or immediately after school, OR from Ms. Brummitt during lunch in the cafeteria on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Before purchasing tickets, you must:

1. Know the correct spelling of your guest’s name

2. Ensure all student fees are paid

3. Have all community service hours for attendance completed

You must fill out a Prom Guest Permission Form and schedule an interview

for him/her if the following applies:

institution)

– They graduated prior to 2025

Permission forms may be picked up in the main office; Mrs. Arnold will email a form to schedule an interview time.

Seniors, please keep watch on your fees. Any class fees, computer payments, lunch debt, or library book dept will keep you from graduating. Please ask your storm teacher, Mrs. Arnold, Mrs. Holder, or Mrs. Parker what your fees are and get them situated.

Seniors also make sure you’ve purchased your diploma cover, graduation cap and gown, and get ready to walk the stage! Visit Josten’s website to purchase your graduation requirements and they’ll be delivered to the school.

On Wednesday 2/26 Tabitha Wilson, writer and artist, won 2nd place in the Kiwanis Art competition against Morristown West High and Lakeway Christian Academy.

The theme was Morristown… LIVE! And the painting featured a closeup of downtown Morristown. East High sends congratulations to the winning student, Alex Vargas Huipe, who won 1st place representing the West High art class!

Students have kept up the school spirit all year so far, and we can only hope that accelerates!

If you have any pictures of school events, send them to the yearbook teacher, Ms. Giles. Students make sure you keep up with your email for upcoming events, and remember it’s a Great Day to be a Hurricane!
