Thomas William Martin age 82 of Knoxville spent his last breath praising God and ran into the arms of Jesus on Monday, July 31, 2023.

Retired from TN Army National Guard and Robertshaw-Fulton Bellows after 33 1/2 years of service. Tommy served his country, family and the Lord faithfully.

Preceded in death by parents, James R. and Hazel C. Martin; wife, Betty Faye Thomas Martin; brother, James “Jim” E. Martin; and sister, Mary Martin Russell.

Survived by children, Tim (Sonya) Martin of Knoxville, TN, Tina (Billy) Stephens of Mascot, TN, Teddy (Stephanie) Martin of Franklin, KY, Terry (Misty) Martin of Knoxville, TN, and Todd (Jameson) Martin of Talbott, TN; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Bridges Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 7:00 PM with Rev. Brian Ford, Rev. Allan Lamb, and Rev. Phil Hopkins officiating.

Family and friends will meet 10:30 AM on Friday at Bridges Funeral Home and go in procession to Pollard Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
