Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Pauline P. Vaughn, passed away on July 31, 2023 at Charter Senior Living.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and worked in food service at Union Heights for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Sterling Vaughn; parents, Ben & Flora Peterson; brothers, Zeke, Guy, H.T., & Horton Peterson; sisters, Jane Harrell, Lena Coffey, Mae Gusler, Ruth Hodge, & Jacqueline Honeycutt.

Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Vaughn Cranford and husband John & Kathy Vaughn Mills and husband Mike; grandchildren, Jenny Cranford Dennis and husband John of Nashville, Amy Cranford Dewease of Morristown, Seth Cranford and wife Lea of St. Leonard, Maryland, and Brandon Sawyer and wife Lindsay of Morristown; great-grandchildren (and her pride & joy) Jake & Anna Dewease, Finley & Cooper Dennis, Wes, Ty, Hudson, & Jack Cranford, and Carli & Brady Sawyer; sisters-in-law, Wanda Vaughn & Sallie Vaughn of Morristown; nephews, Donald Coffey and wife Pat of Jackson, and Ben Coffey and wife Kitty of Morristown; several more nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2023 at Jarnagin Cemetery with Pastor Michael Turner officiating.

Family & Friends may call on Thursday, August 3, 2023 between the hours of 12 Noon and 4PM at Mayes Mortuary.
