As summer comes to an end the Lakeway Area has several fun events planned for the upcoming weekend.
Downtown Morristown returns with its First Fridays Live Concert series on July 7th with Tequila Mockingbird as its headlining performer.
The event takes place each month on the green at Downtown Morristown’s Farmers Market.
It will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the night market, featuring local craft vendors and food trucks ready to sell their goods to the community.
This month’s concert features local Tequila Mockingbird, a cover band from Greeneville, who performs songs spanning from classic rock to the current radio hits.
The band was formed in 2019 and has played all over East TN including at Double Deuce Music Barn, Bobarosa Saloon’s BobtoberFest and the Tennessee Veterans of Morristown TN.
Downtown Morristown encourages those attending to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the free concert.
Saturday morning the 13th Annual Mossy Creek Cruzers Car Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the American Book Company Parking lot.
The event will feature food and music and door prizes for attendees to win. Dash plaques will be given to the first 150 entrants.
The open car/truck show costs $15 to preregister and that can be done Friday at the American Book Company at 5 p.m. Those interested can also register the day of the show for $20.
