Ashley Homestore planning Morristown location

Ashley Homestore is set to open a new Morristown location this summer. The new location will be in the Crossroads Square shopping center between Bargain Hunt and Tennessee Jacks’ restaurant.
Chief Operating Officer of Ashley Homestore Chad Lineberry says their target date is in June, but like with any new construction, you have to be willing to be flexible.
“This was pretty close to a full rebuild and we’re on the final run. We’re looking at mid-summer,” Lineberry explained. “We have a target date, but we are very fluid with everything that’s happening over there,” Lineberry explained. “We’re hopeful that we’ll see June but end of June first of July.”
This new location comes on the heels of success of the Jefferson City store which recently won Store of The Year.
“We didn’t make the decision to purchase the Morristown location and do the renovation until after this store was open, and really the response of this community and seeing the business we were doing here in Jefferson City was what gave us the confidence to open that new location,” Lineberry said.
The new store will be considerably larger than the Jefferson City location, Lineberry explained the larger showroom will allow guests to get a more in-depth experience of the full collections that Ashley Homestore has to offer. “The new store is just shy of double this footprint. What we’re in now is just shy of 14,000 square feet of showroom, and that (location) will be about 24,000 square feet of showroom.” Lineberry said. “We purchased the existing shopping center and we combined three old spaces that had gone vacant and then we added on right around 12,000 square feet of space behind it as well.”
As far as what guests can expect upon visiting this new Ashley Homestore Lineberry said this will be a more immersive experience for those shopping for complete collections.
“This (Jefferson City) store has all of our best sellers, really it has everything a guest could want, but obviously with the footprint increasing by 80% at the new location we will have a whole lot of other offerings.” Lineberry said.
Lineberry says they’re excited to have the space to display even more options for the customer.
“We’re very creative here at the Jefferson City store and we condense groups, so sometimes you’ll only get to see part of a group, but at the Morristown Location you’ll really get to see the whole collection and multiple color options and things like that for all of the popular groups,” Lineberry said.
