James Roy Peeples, age 77, of White Pine, TN passed away at Morristown-Hamblen Hospital in Morristown, TN on April 10th, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Roy and Marie (Collins) Peeples.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Janette Peeples, sister, Nancy (late Herschel) Brady of Morristown, TN, daughters, Kimberly Peeples of Rancho Cucamonga CA, and Marie (Marty) Nicely of Russellville, TN and a special friend he considered a son, Jimmy (Jamie) Spears of Dandridge, TN.

He was preceded in death, by his son, Darrick Banks.

He was the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren who were his world, pride, and joy, Elia Nicely, Dylan Banks, Haven Nicely, Izzy Ownby, Faith Nicely, Amelia Waldroup, and Arya Waldroup.

Mr. Peeples was a Vietnam veteran having served in the United States Army. He was proud of his service and enjoyed the Veteran Day programs at Russellville Elementary School where he would be recognized and honored by his grandchildren.

Familiy and friends will be received at Resthaven Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum located at 2642 E. Hwy 25 70 Dandridge, TN 37725 on Thursday, April 27th, 2023 from 5pm – 8pm.

Military honors will be held Friday, April 28th, 2023 with a funeral service to follow in the Resthaven Memorial Garden chapel.
