Geneva O. Raines, age 72 of Whitesburg, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2023 at her home. She was a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andy and Hazel Cobb, husband, Gary Raines, sons, Andy and Ricky Speers, brothers, Everett, Sr. and Melvin Cobb, and sisters, Evelyn and Patsey Cobb.

She survived by sister, Virginia Miser, brother, Roy Cobb, son, Jason (Kellie) Cobb, daughter-in-law, Tarrha Speers, grandchildren, Cael, Ricky, Emmalynn Cobb.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 5pm until 7pm at Alder Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 7pm with Rev. Gary Dalton and Rev. Roger Porter officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday, March 17, 2023 at 1pm in Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery for a graveside service.
