Walter Earl Timmins Sr., age 98, of Morristown, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

He was a dedicated member of Cherokee Hills Baptist Church, a retiree of BASF after 35 years of service and was also a Army Veteran having served in World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Ambrose and Myrtle Timmins; 6 brothers and wife: Sylvia Jewell Timmins.

Walter is survived by his son, Walter Earl Timmins, Jr.; daughters: Dinah (Wayne) Jacobs, Gail (Alvin) Harbin and Faye (Ron) Brady. Seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Sister: Nellie Mae and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Kenny Cole officiating. Military graveside services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, Jan. 23, 2023 at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
