Lester Homer Lawson, age 82, of Whitesburg, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Lawson; parents, Mack and Nannie Bell Lawson; daughter, Wilma Lyons; four brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his son, Lester Homer Lawson, Jr.; daughter, Paula (Michael) Carson; grandchildren, Joseph (Rebekah) Lyons, James Lyons, Jessica Lyons, Preston Carson, Michael Carson, Jr., Angela (Donnie) Saunders, Elizabeth Lawson, and Bobby Brooks; great-grandchildren, Elijah Edwards, Shirley Carson, and Charlie Carson; brothers, Norman Lawson, Ronald Lawson, Elmer Lawson, and Frank (Fannie) Lawson; sisters, Hazel Yount and Vada (Bill) Knight; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. Friday, January 20th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dwayne Brewer officiating. Interment will follow at Lee Valley Cemetery.
