Joseph “Virgil” Leonard, age 88, went to be with Jesus on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022. A greatly beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and golfing buddy, Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Grace Leonard, his brother Gene Leonard, brothers-in-law Jim McNeil, Walter “Buck” Harris, Harold Graves, Claude Price, and his devoted wife of 58 years, Mary Lea Easley Leonard.

He is survived by his daughter Joanna Kluck and husband Larry of Denison, TX; son Stewart Leonard and wife Traci of Morristown, TN; granddaughter Sarah Kate Henderson and husband James of Krum, TX; grandson Paul Plank and wife Courtney of Katy, TX; granddaughter Chelsea Householder and husband Addison of Morristown, TN; and six great-grandchildren, José, William, Diego, Emma, Audrey, and Paul Bradley.

Virgil also leaves behind his sisters, Mary Coffey and husband Beverly, Thelma McNeil, Ginny Harris, and his sisters-in-law, Betty Graves and Ann Price.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, at 2:00 at First Presbyterian Church of Morristown, with Rev. Sam Schaus officiating.
