Joyce Faye McGinnis, age 79, of Mooresburg, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023. She was a member of New Spruce Pine Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Mack McGinnis; mother and father Laurie and Charlie Ferrell; brothers Clarence and Carl Ferrell; and sister, Mabel Collins.

She is survived by her children David McGinnis, Sharon Slayton, Karen Akins (Avery) Sherman McGinnis (Hester), Lisa (Ronald) Cook, Wayne (Fonda) Turnmire; Grand children, Daniel and Troy Marshall (Mary) Austin and Andre Akins, Cory (Sarah) Noah (Kallista) Natalie and Taylor McGinnis, Dawson Hopson and Kelly Miller; Great grand children, Macy and Waylon Marshall, and Makaiah and Maverick Marshall and Augustine McGinnis; Sisters Barbara Ferguson and Rosalee Green brothers Jack and Robert Ferrell; close friend, Ruth Ann White.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, January 30, 2023 at Christian Sells Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm with Rev. Jamie Jarnagin and Rev. Ronald Winstead officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in Lovin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special Thank You Amedisys Home Health of Morristown, Amedisys Hospice, and Ridgeview Terrace.
