Larry Wayne Carpenter, of Talbott, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Williams; mother, Bernice Voiles; father, Ralph Carpenter; brother, Todd Carpenter; and grandparents, Will and Mertie Carpenter and Rufus and Laura Singleton.

He is survived by his wife of over thirty years, Barbara Carpenter; daughter, Brianna Williams Carpenter; sons, Richard Carpenter and Timothy Carpenter, all of Talbott; sisters, Debbie Carpenter and Brenda Williams; brothers, David Carpenter, Lynn Carpenter, Scott Carpenter, and Jeff Singleton; uncles, Johnny Singleton and Charlie Singleton; aunts, Wanda Singleton, Kathy Singleton, and Dorothy Singleton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, January 19th at Westside Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Eddie Malone officiating.

Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Friday, January 20th at St. Joseph’s Chapel Cemetery in Midway for graveside services.
