A body discovered in north Claiborne County Tuesday is that of a missing Claiborne County woman who was the subject of a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Silver Alert.

According to the TBI, the body was identified as Christine Haun, 36.

Haun had been missing since early January when she was last seen around Bug Hole Road in Cumberland Gap.

Haun’s body was positively identified during an autopsy this week at the Knox County Regional Forensics Center.

On Valentine’s Day, detectives with the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigations Division found Haun’s body in a mountainous area in northern Claiborne County.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
