Silverdale’s strong second half lifts Seahawks over Lakeway Christian

Lakeway Christian saw their season come to an end on Monday evening in the Division II-A East Region Quarterfinals, falling to Silverdale 69-60.
The Lions led by nine at the half but allowed 40 points in the second half, as the Seahawks took control.
Lakeway was led in the game by Shajai Jackson with 35 points while Eli Briggs added 11. Other scorers for Lakeway were Ethan West with six, Ivan Moskalenko with three, Kyle Oliver with two, Malachi Jim-Lawson with two and Caleb Davis with one.
Lakeway Christian ends the season with a 16-10 record. The Lions were the District Tournament Runner-Ups.
On Monday, the Lions got off to a quick start with 24 points in the opening eight minutes to lead, 24-14. Jackson had 13 points in the opening quarter while West added four.
In the second, Lakeway continued to hold onto a comfortable lead as they went up 38-29 at the break. Jackson had 11 points in the quarter while Moskalenko hit a 3-pointer.
The third quarter was where things began to change as Lakeway was out-scored 20-8 and trailed 49-46 going to the fourth. In the fourth, the Lions once again struggled to score as Silverdale held on for the win.
