On Saturday March 4th at approximately 3:45 p.m. deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office were assisting the White Pine Police Department with the pursuit of a stolen vehicle.

A deputy received minor injuries when the vehicle he was pursuing began to ram his vehicle on I-40 west near the 408 mile marker, according to the JCSO.

Two people were taken into custody and the driver faces several felon charges including weapon and drug charges.

The deputy was transported to a local medical facility where he was treated and released.
