NSDAR presents book to Parrott-Wood Library

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Samuel Doak Chapter Chaplain Linda Triplette presented the book, “Women of Chateau Lafayette” by Stephanie Dray to the Director of the Parrott-Wood Library Donna Phillips in Strawberry Plains.
The book, advertised in the DAR’s American Spirit Magazine, is a historical fiction novel relating to the lives of three women in Lafayette’s life.
The Marquis de La Fayette was a French aristocrat, who is known in United States history as Lafayette.
He was a Major General in the Continental Army in the American Revolutionary War, commanding American Troops in several battles, including the siege of Yorktown.
