Emit “E.J.” Dalton, Jr., age 66 of Whitesburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his father, Emit Sr.; mother, Hazel; and stepfather, Richard; siblings, Danny, and Doris; and brothers-in-law, Ray, Don,

He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia (Andy), Debbie (Timothy); grandchildren, Chloie, Timmy, Walker, and Emma; siblings, Bonnie, Vennie, Dorthy (Leon), Lisa (David), Darrell (Charlotte), Jeff (Loretta); several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Mayes Mortuary. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. prior to the service.

He will be laid to rest amongst his family at the Meek Cemetery in Bean Station at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Meek Cemetery upkeep fund or the charity of your choice.
