A new commercial and residential cleaning business, Skybird Cleaning, celebrated their ribbon cutting at the Morristown Chamber of Commerce on Monday.

Skybird Cleaning is a family owned and operated business and is run by Gideon Raucci, his wife Ka Young and her parents. They specialize in eco-friendly janitorial services for commercial buildings but also offer residential services, as well as carpet, tile and grout, upholstery and window cleaning.

Raucci began the ribbon cutting ceremony by thanking the Chamber of Commerce, his family and other individuals who have been instrumental in helping to get their business up and running.

Raucci said that the name of their company derives from their strong Christian values and that after living in Upstate New York and Pennsylvania, he was happy to find a landing place for himself and his family in East Tennessee.

Raucci went on to explain how their company got started.

“Morristown has been wonderful to us and we know that there’s a lot of new people coming here. I had two years of janitorial experience as well as experience with heavy machinery, and my wife has done Airbnb cleaning, so I thought why don’t we just combine our superpowers and create a cleaning company?”

Raucci said that he and his family are eager to have the opportunity to work in Morristown and give back to the community that has given them such a warm welcome.
