Getting Healthy – Library’s Healthy Habits program announces schedule

The Healthy Habits program at Morristown-Hamblen Library has released their full schedule and have many upcoming events available to the public.
Healthy Habits is a free public outreach program organized by Whitney Myers and offers classes for children ages birth to 5 years. These classes are designed for children and their parents to attend together.
Classes include Snack Attack, Music and Movement, Camp Emotion and Little Artists.
The Snack attack class is led by Whitney Myers and is a nutrition class that exposes children to varieties of fruits and vegetables that they may not be willing to try at home for their parents. Children create fun, age-appropriate themed snacks themselves.
The Camp Emotions class is led by nationally certified counselor Sarahfaye Sanford and is designed to help little ones identify and cope with big feelings so they can learn and grow and play within the world with confidence and compassion.
Little Artists is taught by Kelsey Parks who has previously worked with Head Start doing tutoring and an art program.
Music and Movement is taught by Elizabeth Dalton who has 13 years of band experience and has recently obtained a masters degree in elementary education.
The September class schedule includes Camp Emotion which will be held on September 5 at 10 a.m., Snack Attack will be held on September 11 at 10 a.m., Music and Movement will be held on September 18 at 5 p.m. and Little Artists will be held on September 26 at 10 a.m.
