Amanda Wilson of 1409 Events Company is hosting Christmas in July event at College Square Mall Saturday, July 8 from 10 a.m..-8 p.m.

Wilson originally started her company back in 2021 when her husband became ill and could no longer work. She says her passion is supporting small businesses and helping them get out in the community.

“I really like to focus on small business and locally owned businesses, it’s why I like to do these events.” Wilson said.

Wilson says since her first event in 2021 things continue to grow and she feels fortunate to be able to put this together for local artists within the community.

Christmas In July will have over 35 vendors to shop from with booths ranging from local artists and craftsmen, to direct sales.

Santa will also be in attendance and available for pictures from 12 p.m.-4 p.m.

He will be in his “vacation attire” and there will be no charge for photos.

Everyone in the community is encouraged to come shop the event, take pictures with Santa, and get a jump start on Christmas with their shopping.
