New art exhibitions open at the Emporium in Knoxville

Knoxville – The Arts & Culture Alliance is pleased to present four new exhibitions at the Emporium Center in downtown Knoxville from September 1st – 30th, 2023.

A free gathering with the artists will take place on Friday, September 1, from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. and features original music inside the Emporium by Blesser Heart.

The four new exhibitions include, The Big Camera!: Obscura III held in the lower gallery, Beyond Landscapes: Lauren Adams & Ilina Arsova in the upper gallery, West Fifth Studios: Field Trip in the Atrium and display case, and Tonya Wade Wunder: Distortions and other Non-Realities on the North wall.

The Big Camera!: Obscura III is a new, juried exhibition of alternative and historic photography, hosted by The Big Camera!.

Beyond Landscapes asks the viewer to broaden their definition of what a landscape is typically.

West Fifth Studios: Field Trip in the atrium showcases that as artists, we possess a unique ability to discover beauty and inspiration in the most ordinary aspects of daily life.

Finally, Tonya Wade Wunder: Distortions and other Non-Realities is designed to be an imagination stimulant for the viewer.

The exhibitions will be on display at the Emporium Center, 100 S. Gay Street, Knoxville, TN.

The Emporium is open to the public Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Please note, the Emporium will be closed on Monday, September 4th.

Most of the workds on exhibition will be for sale and may be purchased by visiting in person or the online shop at https://www.knoxalliance.store.
