Greta L. Wilson, age 91, passed away at Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home in Rutledge surrounded by family of September 7, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Edith Smith; husband of 65 years, Lawrence (Buck) Wilson; sisters, Agnes Maples and Alta Looney; brothers, Ross and Junior Smith; grandson, Justin Chambers; and great-grandson, Jansen Chambers.

Greta was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She will be missed by her daughter, Sharon (Bob) Cabbage; son, Rick (Tammy) Wilson, grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Gowan, Luke (Jill) Cabbage, Dustin (Catlan) Wilson, and Witteny (Reed) Williams; great-grandchildren, Robbie and Will Gowan, Jacob, David, and Mary Beth Cabbage, Kylor and Chandler Wilson, River and Isla Williams, Kylie Chambers and Adam Moody; sisters, Willie Mae Vineyard, Betty Sue (James) Morgan, Faye (Ralph) Corum; along with several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Luke Cabbage, Matt Gowan, Dustin Wilson, Reed Williams, Robbie and Will Gowan, Jacob and David Cabbage, and Kylor Wilson.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home along with Amedisys Hospice for the kindness, love, care, and support given to our mother and family.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 10 at Smith Reagan Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 with services to follow.

The burial will be at Grainger Memorial Gardens on Monday, September 11 at 11:00 am. Services will be conducted by Rev. Wayne Roach.
