Battling the spread of the flu

This week at East the flu went around quickly, and affected many of our students, teachers, and bus drivers.
This is a time to be keen on washing your hands, using hand sanitizer, and remembering not to frequently touch your face.
This is an important time during the school year, and it’s important to stay healthy!
AP Art & Design had the opening reception for their show, “Chill Out, It’s Art” at the Rose Center on March 5th.
The reception was free and open to the public, come see and support the great works by these young artists!
Spring Fling Formal tickets are now on sale during lunch in the cafeteria! Come by the Student Council table and get your tickets before it’s too late!
Health Science Club members! Please come to Mrs. Snapps’ room 140 to receive your shirts For members going to State only, please come by Mrs. Snapps’ room to get a permission slip.
Prom is Saturday, 4/25. Get your tickets now to take advantage of Early Bird pricing! Early Bird tickets are $30/Single and $50/Couple until Spring Break.
Come by Mrs. Carol Rouse’s room during 2nd period, STORM, or after school. Ms. Brummit will also be in the cafeteria on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Remember, you must have ALL fees paid and ALL community service hours turned in to qualify for buying a ticket. Seniors! Keep up with your Jostens qualifications. Please make sure you order your cap, gown, and diploma cover before it’s too late! The sooner the better, and cheaper. If you have any questions about Jostens, please contact your school counselor and they can put you through to a Jostens representative.
Seniors, FAFSA Applications end on 4/1. If you do not apply for FAFSA, you will lose your Tennessee Promise. If you have questions or need assistance, contact your counselor and they would be happy to help!
Congratulations to the Morristown East Girls and Boys Tennis teams for their wins over Greenville on 3/3. The Girls swept the Greene Devils 9-0 and the Boys won 7-2. Go Canes!
Spring Break is from 3/23-27, everyone be safe and take this time and opportunity to check out some colleges and apply for tours! We ask all students to be safe and smart, especially nearing the end of the school year.
If you haven’t purchased a yearbook yet, see Ms. Giles to get one. Payment plans are availble (There’s only 100 remaining books get them before we run out!)
