This week we will be celebrating National Civic Education Week! Civic education is all about understanding how our government works, knowing our rights and responsibilities, and learning how to actively participate in our democracy.
Whether it’s voting, staying informed, volunteering, or respectfully discussing important issues, civic engagement starts with YOU.
Remember — democracy works best when everyone participates. Listen to the daily announcements and check your grade level Google Classroom for suggestions and calls to action this week!
Are you interested in world travel? Ms. Cobb leads tours each summer to different places around the world, and you’re invited! If you’re signed up to travel in 2026 to Greece, Italy, and Spain, there is a meeting on Monday, March 9 at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria.
If you’re interested in traveling with the groups going to South Korea and Japan in 2027 or to Ireland, Scotland, England, and France in 2028, there will be a virtual interest meeting on Tuesday, March 17 at 6 p.m.
