In addition, there is information about how, where and when to vote in the Primary.
“We’re excited to present this informative page to our readers,” said R. Michael Fishman, Lakeway Publishers Inc. President. “Voting is a sacred right and we hope this page will help local voters to be prepared as they head to the polls.”
Fishman noted that not all candidates chose to participate in the video programming nor the written profiles.
“We reached out through multiple avenues in attempt to encourage participation,” he noted.
Early voting begins April 15.
The candidate videos are produced in conjunction with the Morristown Area Chamber of Commerce.
In addition, the Tribune and the Chamber are partnering to hold a candidate Meet and Greet Tuesday, April 7 at the Morristown Landing.
The event will give all candidates running in the May 5 primary election an opportunity to meet members of the public, discuss issues and their vision for the county.
The free event is open to the public and will last from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
“We are excited for this opportunity for candidates to meet the public and for the public to come out and meet the candidates,” said Fishman “This is an opportunity for the public to come out and speak with the people who will be helping to lead the county over the next four years. We appreciate the Chamber of Commerce’s partnership as well as that of Morristown Landing.
“We hope to see you there Tuesday night.”
