Wings & Machines Set for May 2 at Greeneville Municipal Airport

F

The Greene County Partnership invites the community out for a fun and hands-on day at Wings & Machines on Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Greeneville Municipal Airport.

This year’s event will offer a fresh take, focusing on the machines that keep our communities moving. Instead of an antique car show, Wings & Machines will highlight a wide range of equipment typically seen behind the scenes—everything from first responder vehicles to road construction equipment, car haulers, and more. It is a chance for attendees of all ages to get an up-close look at the tools and machines that power everyday life.

Aviation will still take center stage, with several impressive aircraft expected to return, including the American Airlines Flagship Detroit, a Navy P-8 Poseidon, Navy T-6B training planes, and an Army Chinook helicopter. These aircraft will give visitors a rare opportunity to experience both military and commercial aviation up close.

Food trucks will be on-site throughout the event, offering a variety of options for attendees to enjoy while they explore.

The Greene County Partnership is also inviting anyone with a unique machine to be part of this year’s event. Those interested in participating can contact the Partnership at 423-638-4111 for more information.

Wings & Machines is a free, family-friendly event designed to bring the community together for a day of learning, exploration, and fun.
