Tennessee Amaranth represented at South Carolina Session

The state of Tennessee was well-represented at the Grand Court of South Carolina Order of the Amaranth held recently in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
A delegation of 16 members made the trip from Tennessee. Both 2025-26 Supreme Royal Matron Marsha Weidenger and Supreme Royal Patron William J. Haas are from the Volunteer State.
Four attended from local court Sunrise No. 20, including, Dianne Madson, Lois Overbay, Rhonda Reagan and Donna Winstead.
The Order of the Amaranth is an international Masonic-related organization that endeavors to develop the moral character of its members through lessons of Truth, Faith, Wisdom and Charity.
Their major charity is diabetic research.
In 2025, in the Tennessee Grand Court Session held in Gatlinburg, Grand Royal Matron of Tennessee Kelly Pickering presented a check for more than $6,000 towards diabetic research.
During the Supreme Session in Glendale, Arizona, Supreme Royal Matron Elizabeth Herbolsheimer presented a check for more than $600,000 to the Amaranth Diabetic Foundation.
The members of the Order are extremely proud of their efforts to find a cure for diabetes.
