Lakeside Links brings floating golf fairway to Cherokee Lake

BEAN STATION — A new chapter in lakeside entertainment has arrived in Grainger County and it is unlike anything seen before.

Lakeside Marina has announced the debut of Lakeside Links, described as a floating golf fairway, bringing a fresh and forward-thinking attraction to Cherokee Lake.

Family-owned and operated since 1993, the marina is introducing the concept as part of a larger effort to expand tourism and recreation along the U.S. Highway 25E Scenic Byway.

Players at Lakeside Links will tee off from luxury hitting bays positioned along the marina’s dock, sending golf balls toward a large floating green set directly on the lake. The experience blends elements of a traditional driving range with a relaxed social waterfront setting.

“This marina has been in our family for over 30 years, and we’ve always looked for ways to make Cherokee Lake even more special for the people who visit us,” said Justin Miller. “Lakeside Links is our way of bringing something truly world-class to our local community. We wanted a place where families including our own son, Cannon could gather, have fun, and experience something that literally doesn’t exist anywhere else in the world.”

Each bay is designed as a private group-friendly space accommodating up to six people, complete with lounge-style seating, flat-screen televisions and cooling fans, creating what the owners describe as a “VIP” experience on the water.

The addition of Lakeside Links is part of a broader transformation at Lakeside Marina, which now offers expanded hospitality features including a pet-friendly patio, handcrafted beverages and a welcoming environment for both locals and travelers passing through Bean Station.

“Lakeside Marina is our home, and our customers are like an extension of our family,” said Ashley Miller. “Whether you’re stopping by for an iced coffee on your way through or booking a bay for a birthday party, we want you to feel that East Tennessee hospitality the moment you walk onto the dock.”

Located along one of East Tennessee’s most traveled scenic routes, the marina continues to serve as a recreational stop between Morristown and Sevierville, offering pontoon and kayak rentals along with long-term slips for area boaters.

Reservations for Lakeside Links and other marina services are available online.

Founded in 1993, Lakeside Marina remains a family-operated business focused on providing unique experiences on Cherokee Lake, now adding what may become one of the Lakeway Area’s most talked-about attractions.
