The Hamblen County Health Department celebrates National Public Health Week

National Public Health Week, April 6-12 is a time to highlight the many services available to the public at all local health departments in Tennessee and to recognize the great work public health does every day.

The Hamblen County Health Department is proud to offer numerous health programs and services including:

• Immunizations – Childhood and adult vaccinations are available to protect against many diseases.

• GIFTS – Tennessee’s pregnancy smoking cessation program.

• TNSTRONG – Youth-led movement advocating for tobacco-free lifestyles.

• Women, Infants and Children, or WIC – Supplemental nutrition for mothers and young children.

• Birth and Death Certificates – Certified copies of birth certificates can be obtained for Tennessee births. Certified copies of death certificates can also be obtained for deaths occurring in Tennessee.

• Family Planning – Breast and Cervical Cancer Screenings, immunizations, health check-ups immunizations, Pregnancy Testing and Counseling and more.
