A Rutledge man has been indicted in the overdose death of a Lakeway Area woman in January.

According to information from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the Jefferson County Grand Jury returned a sealed indictment Thursday for Second-Degree Murder from an overdose death that occurred on January 31st in Jefferson County.

JCSO Criminal Investigator Jonathan Owens presented his findings from an investigation into the death of an unidentified 35-year-old woman. Arrested was Richie Allen Farrow, 45, of Rutledge. At the time of the arrest, Farrow was being held in the Grainger County Jail on unrelated charges. Farrow is being held in Jefferson County Detention Center without bond in the case.
