The Joyful Hearts ministry of First United Methodist Church of Morristown will be purchasing 14 tickets for the Encore Theatrical Company matinee of “Disney’s Frozen The Broadway Musical” on Sunday, June 28.

The Encore Theatrical Company is a talented community theater organization dedicated to bringing high-quality stage productions and performing arts experiences to local audiences. Their upcoming show, “Disney’s Frozen The Broadway Musical,” is a spectacular live-action adaptation of the famous animated movie featuring incredible music, stunning special effects, and a powerful story about sisterhood.

The performance will be held at Jefferson County High School in Dandridge. Joyful Hearts will leave First United Methodist Church at 1 p.m., and return to the church at 7 p.m. Cost of the trip is $27 per person. To register, visit www.fumcmorristown.org.

They will plan to have a meal together on their return trip to Morristown. Cost of food and drinks is not included in the cost of the trip.

An adult ministry group of First United Methodist Church, Joyful Hearts take trips every other month. The group travels to concerts and plays. The stated purpose of Joyful Hearts is “to nurture the lives of adults fifty years and older as they join together in fellowship, and as they reach out to serve the needs of others in the church and in the community at large.”

Each month, Joyful Hearts choose a mission to serve. Their June mission will be raising funds to assist with the purchase of food for “Camp in the Community,” which First United Methodist Church will be sponsoring the week of July 20-24. “Camp in the Community” is a ministry of Holston Annual Conference Camp and Retreat Ministries. It is a week-long day camp program for children who could not otherwise afford to attend summer camp First United Methodist Church will be feeding participants two meals and a snack each day. It is anticipated that $1,000 will be needed to cover the costs of these meals.
