Parrottsville student named to Olivet Nazarene Dean’s List

Courtney Galloway of Parrottsville, was named to the Dean’s List at Olivet Nazarene University during the recently completed spring 2026 semester. To qualify for inclusion on the dean’s list, a student must have been enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student and must have attained a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.00 grading scale.

Olivet Nazarene University is an accredited Christian, liberal arts university offering more than 200 areas of undergraduate and graduate study, including the Doctor of Education in ethical leadership. Olivet’s 275-acre park-like main campus is in Bourbonnais, Illinois, 45 miles south of Chicago. Additionally, Olivet offers Graduate and Continuing Studies via online education.

Harrison, Youngblood inducted into Phi Beta Kappa

SPARTANBURG, SC – Grace Anna Harrison, of Morristown, and Ellie Elizabeth Youngblood, of Greeneville are among 41 members inducted into Wofford College’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa on May 15.

The induction ceremony took place at Leonard Auditorium.

Founded in 1776, Phi Beta Kappa is the nation’s oldest academic honor society and recognizes the most outstanding undergraduate students for excellence in the liberal arts and sciences. Only 10 percent of U.S. colleges and universities have Phi Beta Kappa chapters, and less than one percent of all graduating students is elected each year.

Wofford’s chapter, Beta of South Carolina, was established in 1941 and is the second oldest of five chapters in the state. To be considered for induction, students must complete 100 hours of coursework and earn a 3.8 GPA or higher. Scholarship, character, intellectual curiosity, creative thinking, diversity of academic interests and pursuits and other factors are also weighed in the election process.

Briony Bunsic named to Spring 2026 WCU Dean’s List

CULLOWHEE, NC — Briony Bunsic, of Talbott, has been named to the Spring 2026 Dean’s List at Western Carolina University. To qualify for this honor, students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Lakeway Students named to WCU’s Spring 2026 Chancellor’s List

CULLOWHEE, NC — Three Lakeway Area students were among the 3,170 students named to the Chancellor’s List for Spring 2026 at Western Carolina University.

To qualify for this honor, students must achieve a GPA of 3.8 or higher. Students named to the Chancellor’s list are also named to the Dean’s List.

Lakeway Area Students named to the Chancellor’s List include Chloe Wilson, of Bulls Gap; Katie Williams, of Rutledge and Dustin Carter, of White Pine.

Lee University Announces Dean’s List for Spring 2026

CLEVELAND, TN — Lee University congratulates five Lakeway Area students who earned Dean’s List honors during the Spring 2026 semester. Dean’s List recognition is earned by full-time, undergraduate students with a semester grade point average between 3.7 and 4.00.
