Rose Lee Fox, age 86 of Morristown, TN, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at her home in Morristown, TN.

Rose was born on September 8, 1939 in Hamblen County to her parents, Earl and Rhular Mease. She graduated from high school in Whitesburg, TN.

She worked for many years at Toddlers Inn with her sister.

She was a faithful member of Pleasant View Baptist Church of Talbott, TN.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Fox Jr.; parents, Earl and Rhular Mease; siblings, Kathlene Mease, Eula Watkins, Patsy Howell, and Carl Mease.

She is survived by loving children, Steve Allen Fox and Elizabeth (David) Ann Burnett; sister, Willie Bales and Betty Ann Bowers; brother, Jay Mease; grandson, John Michael David; his twin granddaughters; Kristen Michaela Burnett and Erica Leann Burnett and his greatgranddaughter; Keelyn Beth Burnett; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank Caris Healthcare staff with special thanks to, Ashlin, Ally, Cherylanne, Charity, and Faith for their care and support for Ms. Rose The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Mayes Mortuary.

The church service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Talbott. Burial will be held at 2:00pm at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
