Lakeway Departments compete for 2026 ‘Best-Looking’ Cruiser

A total of 11 police and sheriff’s agencies in the Lakeway Area are competing to see whose law enforcement cruiser will be named Tennessee’s “Best Looking” Cruiser.

As part of the 22nd Annual Law Enforcement Challenge, the Tennessee Highway Safety Office offers the “Tennessee’s Best-Looking Cruiser Award” to recognize the law enforcement agency with the coolest cruiser.

Participating agencies in the Lakeway area include: Bean Station Police Department, Dandridge Police Department, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Greeneville Police Department, a retro-police vehicle with the Jefferson City Police Department, Mosheim Police Department, Newport Police Department, Rutledge Police Department, Surgoinsville Police Department, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and Walters State Community College.

The contest is open to the public with no account required. Voters may submit ONE vote using one email address. Those submitting more than one vote using more than one email address, all votes from that voter will be discarded. The winning agency will be selected based on ranked voting, meaning that each voter is required to vote for three agencies based on ranking. First-place votes will receive three points, a second- place vote will receive two points and a third-place vote will receive one point.

The winner will be announced and awarded at the Law Enforcement Challenge on Friday, September 18.

To avoid confusion, Tennessee’s “Best-Looking Cruiser Award” Contest is separate and does not interfere with the national “Best-Looking Cruiser Award” contest sponsored by the American Association of State Troopers.

Voting takes place at tntrafficsafety. org.
