Hamblen BOE to hold Special Budget Meeting
The Hamblen County Board of Education will have a special called budget work session at 5 p.m. on Tuesday to discuss the Fiscal Year 2027 Budget.
This will also be followed immediately by a special called business meeting at 6 p.m.
Both meetings will be held in the Heritage Room of the Hugh Clement Central Office Complex. The public is welcome to attend both meetings.

The budget presented by Superintendent of Schools Arnold Bunch had a plan to staff some 100-day contracts differently, instead creating a full time position.
The measure died 3-3 with board member Bradley Harville absent.
Voting for the amendment were Clawson, Clyde Kinder and Darlene Smith voted yes. Voting no were Jerrod Weems, Robert Workman and Chairman Johnny Denton.
The decision was then made to plan a special called meeting at a later date.
Bunch went ahead with his budget presentation to the commission on Saturday with the explanation it was not fully set.
