Greene County Partnership hosts interview and networking skills workshop for students

The Greene County Partnership hosted an Interview & Networking Skills Workshop on Wednesday, June 24, providing local high school and college students with valuable opportunities to develop professional skills that will serve them throughout their educational and career journeys.

Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in real-world interview practice, networking exercises, and professional development activities designed to increase confidence and help students better understand workplace expectations. Students received constructive feedback from local professionals and gained practical tools to help them succeed in future interviews, internships, college admissions processes, and employment opportunities.

The Greene County Partnership extends its sincere appreciation to the volunteer judges and professionals who generously shared their time, expertise, and encouragement with students throughout the day:

• Sandi Bible, Tusculum University

• Dr. Shepard, Greeneville High School

• Dr. McIntyre, Greeneville High School

• Aisha Hickerson, MECO Corporation

• Kelsey Neal, SoPakCo

• Ashlyn Wilson, Greene County Partnership

• Kristin Girton, Interview Coach

• Lori Waddle, 411 Services “The success of this workshop was made possible by the willingness of local professionals to invest in our students,” said Jessie Beth Miller, Director of Community Engagement for the Greene County Partnership. “These volunteers provided meaningful feedback, shared real-world experiences, and helped students build confidence in a supportive environment.”

Through mock interviews, networking activities, and one-on-one interactions with professionals, students left the workshop with a better understanding of how to present themselves professionally and make positive first impressions.

The Greene County Partnership is grateful to all participants, volunteers, and community partners who contributed to the event’s success. Due to the positive response and impact of the workshop, plans are already underway to offer another Interview & Networking Skills Workshop in the future.
