National Police Week will be observed May 10th through May 16th in Morristown and Hamblen County.

This week honors the service and sacrifice of the men and women of the Morristown Police Department and the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office.

Community members are encouraged to show their support by displaying blue ribbons at their homes and businesses throughout the week.

Free blue ribbons are available for pickup at the Hamblen County Courthouse, Morristown City Center, Morristown-Hamblen Library, Morristown Landing, and the Hamblen County Justice Center.

A Law Enforcement Memorial Service honoring fallen officers will be held Friday, May 15th at 12 p.m. on the front courthouse lawn.
