Victims in fatal New Market plane crash identified

As the investigation continues into a Monday plane crash in New Market, investigators with the Knox County Regional Forensics Center have identified both men who died in the crash near Burchell Road in New Market.
The plane belonged to Allen S. Holman, age 75 of Knoxville, who died in the crash. Edwin ( Rory) Robbins DuPont, age 49 of Seymour, also died in the crash.
The NTSB and the FAA are the lead in this investigation and any and all questions in relation to the crash investigation should be directed to their agencies
In a statement, the Sheriff’s Office sent thoughts and prayers to the families during this time of tragic loss.
On Monday, April 13 at approximately 1:10 pm Jefferson County E-911 received call of a plane crash on Burchell Rd in New Market. Deputies along with New Market Fire & Rescue, Jefferson County EMS & EMA responded to the scene and discovered a small plane that had crashed into a field.
Firefighters confirmed two persons on board the aircraft were deceased. Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Division are on scene awaiting investigators from the NTSB & FAA
