The 2026 Taste of Morristown at Walters State Community College drew flavor enthusiasts from all around the area to support the programs at Girls, Inc.
The organization, which seeks to inspire girls to be strong, smart and bold, hosts the event every year to raise support for its summer programming and Executive Director Amy Register said the event raised a large amount of support through the efforts of many.
“I’m super thankful for our sponsors, our restaurants who partner with us to make this event happen and all of our volunteers that support and help us make this event successful,” she said. “We’re pretty close to our goal, if we haven’t exceeded it. Thank you to our community for coming out and supporting Girls Inc. and Walters State for being a wonderful host.”
Restaurants and food companies set up in the gymnasium at Walters State as a line formed to go to each vendor and sample their wares. Judges tasted all of the foods and rendered their scores alongside a popular vote for a couple of categories.
Taste of Morristown award winners included:
• Tastiest appetizer: Longhorn Steakhouse
• Tastiest beverage: Walmart Deli
• Tastiest main dish: Texas Roadhouse
• Tastiest dessert: Freddy’s Frozen Custard
• Tastiest confection: crumbl Cookies
Additional awards included:
• Crowd favorite: Longhorn Steakhouse

Amber Dalton, along with her Crumbl crew served up a variety of tasty cookies, said she was honored to have won one of the awards.
“Everybody worked really hard — we’ve been sweating elbow deep in cookies all morning,” she said. “We’re super happy.”
Snowie of Lakeway, like many vendors, has been showing at Taste of Morristown for years and said it’s great to support the girls of the program.
“It’s just awesome,” Snowie’s Suzanne Spiller said. “We just want to be able to be part of the community supporting the fundraiser for them, and hoping the kids have a great time this summer, too.”
